A new video finished which describes a simple device for testing step-up voltage converters under conditions close to their exploitation (in Gauss guns, railguns etc - everything related to charging and rapid discharge of a massive high-voltage capacitance). 

The circuit of the device and demonstration of its functionality are in video, and here are the photo of the test "rig" and the oscillogram for two charge-discharge cycles. The upper graph is a voltage at the caps (1:100 division, 1,5 V/div scale), the lower one - gate voltage of the discharging MOSFET (5 V/div). Time scale is 1 sec/div.
