Due to the well-known unpleasant events in the country and the world, the publication of new materials on the site is delayed. I had to deal with various urgent matters that took up almost all my free time, not to mention the heavy emotional background, which did not encourage creative pursuits. Finally, among other things, the delivery is delayed (since August!) of electronic components necessary for several ongoing projects - work on them should have been completed long ago, and the relevant publications should have already been posted here, but alas... The icing on the cake. New study devoted to the investigation of the maximum achievable parameters of the "travelling wave" reluctance launcher added to the theoretical section. I was always interested in this construction. Oddly enough, the calculations turned out to be even simpler than for traditional designs...

Publication dedicated to the Modelling of the inductive launcher added. It is a little spin-off for my site (which is more about reluctance accelerators), by I was always interested in this question.

A small note added to the "Experiments" section devoted to the Study of the effect of metal barrels on the effectiveness of coilguns. The inductance of a coil wound on a metal tube in various configurations was measured and compared to the inductance of the same coil without a conductive core. The results of measurements at various frequencies and the corresponding speeds of motion of the projectile accelerated by the coilgun are presented.

New Megavolt's ЩУМ-160 coilgun added to the Table of accelerators. An absolute record of the projectile speed was set for DIY reluctance accelerators, as well as maximum values of quality coefficients G and Kx achieved for SCR-controlled devices.
